Tsedang is an ancient capital of Tibet whereas Yambulakhang is the first palace built in Tibet. Similarly, Samye Monastery is regarded as the first monastery of this place and is also regarded as one of the main monasteries out of six located in Tibet. Flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu is of around 70 minutes. It is a flight full of scenic beauty. The flight gives you wonderful view of some of the renowned mountains of the world—Mount Everest (8,848m), Kanchenjunga (8,536m) and others.

Our representative in Lhasa will warmly greet you in Lhasa Airport with Khada (a kind of shawl). After fulfilling immigration requirement we will drive you to your hotel.

While on the way to hotel you will observe Yarlong Tsangpo River, Buddha’s statue on the hill. The colorful prayer flags will capture your heart.

After driving for 45 minutes you will arrive at your hotel

Overnight in Lhasa

    You will be exploring Lhasa today. You visit Sera monastery at the first. It is a colorful monastery with beautiful architecture. The monastery is located in a cliff.

    Norbulinga Palace is another destination of our visit. It is regarded as summer palace of Dalai Lama. Similarly, you visit Jokhang Temple.

    It is spiritual center of villagers. You will be strolling in the streets of ancient city that is close to Barkhor market.

    Overnight in Lhasa

      Today you will visit Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery. It is a wonderful place built in a hillock. It is truly masterpiece portraying the masterpiece of 17th century. Drepung Monastery is one of the largest monasteries of Tibet that was built in 14th century.

      Overnight in Lhasa

        After breakfast you will head towards Xigatse. It is 300km west from Lhasa. It is regarded as the second largest city of Tibet. The city is located at the confluence of two holy rivers—YarlungTsangpo (Brahmaputra) and Nyangchu.

        The place (Xigatse) is regarded as seat of Panchen Lama who is the second important leader of Tibet.

        Overnight in Xigatse

          Gyantse is fourth largest city of Tibet and the destination inhabits three main ethnic groups—native Tibetan, Muslim and the newly emigrated Han Chinese. Here you will visit PelkorChoede, GyantseDzong and GyantseKumbum.

          Overnight in Gyantse

            Tsedang is 190km southeast from Lhasa. You will be enjoying the beautiful sights while on the way to Tsedang like Karola (5010m), Kambala (4794m) and colorful Yamdrok. It is a ride along Brahmaputa River.

            Yarlung is the place to visit here as it is known for the origin of Tibetan civilization.

            Overnight in Tsedang

              Driving along Brahmaputra River, crossing it through local motor boat (around an hour) and further riding for another half an hour in a vehicle will bring us at Samye Monastery. It was built in 8th century.

              Now you get back to Tsedang. If we have time then we will also pave the way to Yumbulakhang and Thandruk Monastery.

              Overnight in Tsedang

                After breakfast we will drive back to Lhasa Airport and from here you will catch flight to Kathmandu. It is a scenic flight of around 70 minutes.
