Among 33 peaks opened for climbing in Nepal, Mera Peak is the tallest one. Located in Khumbu region Nepal, the peak pierces sky at an altitude of 6476m.

The peak is not that technical to climb. It is one of the best destinations from where you get an awe-inspiring view of Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kanchanjunga, Makalu, Baruntse, Amadablam and the tallest peak of the world—Mount Everest.

Mera Peak composes of three peaks—Mera North-6,476m, Mera Central-6,461 m and Mera South -6,065 m. Climbing Mera Peak means you will be climbing Mera central as it is easiest than other two. It was ascended in 1953 for the first time and since then it is gaining its popularity among climbers of the world.

Namaste! Info Nepal Treks and Expedition heartily welcomes you in the city of temples—Kathmandu. Our representative will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport. Our intimacy with you begins from here and we will be in your service for 24x7 from this very moment. The representative will assist you with vehicle and drive to the hotel. You can spend some time in hotel and get fresh before roaming around Thamel, renowned tourist spot in Kathmandu.

Overnight in hotel.

    Early in the morning, after breakfast, we drive to Tribhuvan International Airport. Here we catch flight to Lukla. It is a beautiful flight of around half an hour. You will get majestic view of mountains from the comfort of the plane.

    In Lukla you are accompanied by your porter and the trekking begins from today. Now we start moving towards Paiya. It is a walk of around four hour enjoying local area and the scenic beauty blanketed around you by the nature.

    Overnight in Paiya

      No sooner we leave Paiya we reach a bridge which we cross and go further. The trail is hard till Kari La Pass. After crossing the pass the trail becomes relatively easy. The earthy smell and surrounding of jungle will connect you with nature. You pass through rhododendron forests. You witness DudhKoshi Valley and DudhKunda Mountain en route.

      Overnight in Pangkoma

        As usual we will begin our trail after breakfast. It is a downhill course that we will follow. Passing through forests we head ahead. The mani walls, prayer flags and prayer wheels which you notice on the way is awe-some. Spirituality is abundant in this area. You get first view of Mera Peak South from here. Passing through pine forests and following downhill track we arrive at Nigmsa.

        Overnight in Nigmsa

          We will be walking on rocky path. In this pleasant trail we get through bamboo/cane and rhododendron forests. Further uphill course will bring us at Chetrakhola.

          Overnight in Chetrakhola

            In today’s walk is going to be different experience for you. You will walk at ridge and below it there is Hinku Valley. The cool environment in the forests of bamboo and pine is pleasing.

            Following this pleasant walk we get in TashingDingma. Path to Kothe splits from here and after couple of hours of walk we will be at Kothe.

            Overnight in Kothe

              Walking along the ridge of Hinku River we reach Gondishung. En route you observe Lungsumgba Monastery. Continuing our uphill trail will finally bring us at Thagnag.

              Overnight in Thagnag

                It is a kind of leisure day. While on trekking this type of rest is essential for trekkers as it reduces the chances of being arrested by high altitude sickness. It helps to adjust your body with increasing elevation and this is known as acclimatization.

                Despite rest day we will be exploring local area. Visiting nearby area is the best option along with CharpateHimal Glacier.

                Overnight in Thagnag

                  Probably, it is the shortest trail of this trekking. We cross Dig Glacier but before we get through wind swept area. Melted snow makes the course slippery here. After passing Dig Kharka we follow uphill track till HinkuNup. We cross Shar Glaciers before arriving Khare.

                  Overnight in Khare

                    Our trail begins after breakfast. We will be walking on rocky path. The distance between Khare to Mera Peak Base Camp is of around four hour on feet. We lunch here.

                    We will also learn climbing techniques here. Climbing experts will give you necessary tips which will be fruitful to you while climbing.

                    Overnight in Mera Peak Base Camp

                      Combating the toughness of the trail we walk for around five hours to get in High Camp. Once we get here we start preparation for tomorrow’s climbing. Today also climbing experts will give you necessary tips which will be fruitful to you while climbing the other day.

                      Overnight in High Camp

                        To avoid possible bad weather and glaring sun light, we start climbing early in the morning at 2 am. Much awaited climbing begins after the breakfast.

                        The trail is very tricky so need to be cautious. Follow every instruction of your climbing expert. We walk ahead holding rope.

                        Finally, you are at the top of Mera Peak. Standing at an altitude of 6461m you will realize your dream. The view of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kanchanjunga, Makalu, Baruntse, Amadablam and other mountains will leave deep impression in your heart forever.

                        After spending some time here we again get back to High Camp. You will enjoy the successful night tonight.

                        Overnight in High Camp

                          Khare is at around five hour distance from High Camp. The trail is rocky. You feel mountains and recapitulate yesterday’s scenery throughout the way to Khare.

                          Overnight in Khare

                            It is descent trail today. We pass through Hinku Valley which further get us at Kothe. En route you get amazing views of some mountains.

                            Overnight in Kothe

                              We will be walking on the wester part of Hinku Valley. It is steep downhill path. After walking for some time from the Kothe we reach at a place which is a kind of vantage point. The view of Mera Peak from here is mesmerizing. Finally, we arrive at ThuliKharka.

                              Overnight in ThuliKharka

                                Leaving ThuliKharka behind we proceed ahead. Walking for two hours from ThuliKharka we reach Zatrwa la Pass. The view of Lukla Valley from here is very impressive. Its majestic beauty is just can’t described in words. Moreover, you witness Cho Oyu, Numbur Mountain and other peaks from here. After crossing Chutanga we finally arrive at Lukla

                                  Early in the morning after breakfast we catch flight to Kathmandu. It is a wonderful flight of your life as you will witness beautiful mountains from the comfort of plane.

                                  Here in capital you get ample of time to roam around especially, on the streets of Thamel. If interested, you can purchase gifts to your friend and family.

                                  Info Nepal Treks and Expeditionwill offer you farewell dinner tonight.

                                  Overnight in hotel

                                    Your Nepal stay ends from today. Representative of Info Nepal Treks and Expeditionwill drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport three hours earlier to you scheduled flight.
