Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is a much rewarding destination as the site is popular for sunrise and sunset view. The first rays of the sun striking the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri is just like cupid’s arrow in the heart. It is a destination where you will fall in love with nature at first sight. On the clear days, you get a stunning view of mountain ranges under the clear blue sky. Probably, it is the best site in the world to realize the real beauty of mountains.

Annapurna Conservation Area protects Ghore Pani Poon Hill site. Located in the lower part of Annapurna Region, the destination is situated in Myagdi district of Nepal. In other words, Poon-Hill is a vantage point from where you get lifetime memorable view of snow-capped peaks. The trail to Ghorepani Poon –Hill is equally fascinating for trekkers. The lush green vegetation and entire hills are blanketed red by rhododendrons in spring. This scene will make a deep impression on your heart.

It is also a kind of cultural trek where you get an opportunity to learn Gurung and Magar culture and traditions. Both of them are indigenous groups of Nepal and are popular for their dancing and singing skills. The world knows both of these groups for their valor.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is suitable for any age group. Honeymoon couple, a family with kids and senior citizens prefers this destination for holiday package.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing

As per our schedule, the fun begins from today. You will tour Kathmandu—City of Temples. Our tour guide will show you four UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites located in the capital city. The tour begins from Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is a historical place that covers five acres land in the heart of Kathmandu. There is Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar, Kasthamandap and many more things to observe.

The earthquake of 25th April 2015 destroyed many temples and historic building but despite the fact, the charm of the site is still there and things are in the reconstruction phase. After roaming Durbar Square we drive to Pashupatinath Temple. The temple is regarded as greatest Hindu shrine where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of Linga.

Bouddhanath Stupa is located in close distance from Pashupatinath. It is an octagonal mandala structure stupa and Lord Buddha is worshipped here. In the vicinity of Bouddhanath, there are more than 50 monasteries where you can visit and see the metal structure of Lord Buddha and many other Buddhas.

Swoyambhunath is the last destination of our visit today. It is located in a cliff and the view of Kathmandu valley is really nice from here. Swoyambhunath is also known as Monkey Temple as many monkey of Reus species are found here.

It is a dome shaped structure above which pyramid-shaped metal structure is placed. At the bottom of that metal structure, you can see eyes of Buddha in all four directions.

‘Self-Existing’ is the meaning of Swoyambhunath. It means that when there was nothing in the valley the Swoyambhu used to exist. Legends say that the civilization of Kathmandu Valley began with Swoyambhunath.

Poon hill & Annapurna Base Camp

(5/5)

Me and my girlfriend planned the a.b.c trekking. At the office, Raju gave us all the usefull information, advise and tips we needed. Just before the trek it was super easy to ask some last minute questions directly via WhatsApp. During the trek we felt everything was thought about and taking care off. We didnt need to think about anything, except for walking. Many, many thanks to our guide Dilip. He was extremly nice, respectfull and helpfull. He took care of everything. Even when our body was letting us a bit down, Dilip helped us cary some of our more heavy stuff, so that we still could manage. If we visit Nepal again, we would defintly arange everything through this company again.
