Yes, you should. It is necessary to avoid possible surprises like you might be rescued from the middle of the trekking due to altitude sickness or any other things. So, it is must. Do not forget to get your medical and travel insurance before visiting Nepal for trekking or tour. Such medical and travel insurance should cover proper altitude up to where you hike. This will benefit you at the time of evacuation by the helicopter if you are gripped by any kind of altitude sickness.
Ah, it depends on to you. It is not compulsory but the guide deserves it. Depending upon the guide’s service you can calculate it and reward the guide. Do not forget that guide is a bread earner of his family and you are his/her source. Depending upon the days of trekking you can allocate around 20-30 per cent of the total budget of the trekking.
There is no specific answer of this question. Calculate the cost of the trip and carry around 40-50 per cent more of the total cost. Though it is not required but if you want to purchase something from Nepal as a gift then in such cases it is helpful.
No, strictly not. Nobody will accept your dollar or euro there. You have to pay in Nepali currency there. And, do not think that you will get ATMs there. Everything related to money should be managed here in Kathmandu.

Temperature goes down up to 1 degree Celsius at this time around in Kathmandu. In Terai region temperature goes up to 12 degree Celsius at maximum. Monsoon in Nepal begins from late May and lasts till the third week of August. We do not suggest trekking at this time around. But you can go for Upper Dolpo or Upper Mustang Trekking at this time because they are regarded as rain shaded area and monsoon will have least impact here. In summer temperature goes up to 40 degree Celsius in Terai and in Kathmandu it hovers somewhere in between 30 to 34 degree Celsius. Trekking and Hiking are interchangeably used in Nepal. It means traveling in foot in remote areas where you will spend night either camping or in teahouse.

Difference between camping and teahouse trekking:

Camping Trek: You set tent for night stay and this is called Camping Trek. A large number of supporting staff move with you like porter, chef, kitchen helper, tent erecting personnel and a guide. They carry everything for you making your trip easy. This type of trekking is very costly in comparison to teahouse trekking.

Teahouse Trek: Teahouse trek is popular trek in Nepal. It is more popular than camping trek because it is cost effective. A guide and porter will assist you in this trek. You spend night in local lodge and it is called teahouse. It provides many facilities, if not all. It is one of the ways to witness Nepal through the eyes of the local people.

It is must my dear. This will make your trekking easy and if anything goes wrong with you then the agency will be at the back of you for your help. Without them your trekking will be a mess. Trust me! Moreover, they will assist you with guide, porter, equipment, flight tickets, bus tickets, gears and many more. Why not go with agency! After all, you are here for enjoyment not to regret. And, do not forget that agency will help you if you are clutched by altitude sickness. They will evacuate you from the mountain by sending helicopter.
Better you ask why not trekking in Nepal? There are more than 1,600 peaks here including Mount Everest—tallest peak of the world towering at an altitude of 8,848m. Similarly, out of 14 peaks of over 8,000m eight are in Nepal. You find hundreds of trekking trail in this land of Himalayas. Moreover, there are more than 100 ethnic groups here who speak around 120 different languages and each ethnic group has its own unique language and culture. The temples, gompas, natural beauty, flora and fauna, culture and traditions and many more things attract you here for trekking.
Of course, it does. Depending upon the type of trekking you chose you apply your effort. For instance, if you chose peak climbing then it definitely requires endurance where as easy trek like Poon-Hill needs less stamina.
No worries as you have booked trekking with agency like mine. The guide with you is not just a person who shows you track and tell you about the local culture and tradition. He is somebody who will help you with medical assistance as he is good at first aid service and this what they learn as a trekking guide. If you are really in bad condition then also you do not need to worry because he will be in constant touch with us (agency). If you require evacuation then also you will be evacuated on time by helicopter.
Normally, you will walk for around five to six hours every day.
We can arrange both types of trekking—camping and teahouse. Please check query number 13 to know about camping and teahouse trek.
