Everest View Trekking is a great introduction into the Himalayas, the lap of the top of the world, Mt.Everest and Sherpa country and its culture – a very popular option for your first time in Nepal. This trek will give you an insight into Sherpa life and provide fabulous close-up views of the world’s highest peaks including Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Amadablam etc., without struggling with high altitude. This trek is best suited to those worried about the physical demands, or who lack the time, for a longer trek to Everest Base Camp.

The Everest View Trekking is an ideal program for families of all ages, including elderly parents or young children, to view the culture and unforgettable landscapes of this region.

Everest View Trekking is, relatively, a moderate walk in the foothills of Mt Everest. It starts in Kathmandu with an easy exploration of the World Heritage listed sites of the Kathmandu Valley. Then , the short and scenic flight takes us to Lukla where we start our trekking into a region of ancient monasteries, and high peaks and valleys in the shadow of the world's greatest peak. Here, our stress-free week of trekking allows us to experience the unparalleled mountain scenery of the Khumbu, including classic views of Everest, Ama Dablam and Lhotse, and other peaks. Namche, a gateway to Everest region, is a considerable highlight of Everest View Trekking.  Tengboche is home to the highest Buddhist monastery in the world and is well known among photographers as one of the best places to capture the splendid beauty of Mt Everest and its adjoining peaks.

The final days of this venture will be spent in the scenic villages of Khumjung and Jorsale, where you will have the opportunity to interact with the legendary Sherpa people and experience their traditional lifestyle. From there we hike back to Lukla for a short flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Namaste! Info Nepal Treks and Expedition heartily welcomes you to the city of temples – Kathmandu. We will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Our office representative will be there holding placard on which either client’s or company's name will be printed just opposite of the arrival and after your reception, we will drive to the hotel. After your arrival at the hotel, we fix the schedule for a short orientation meeting which gives you some general information about the trip and you will settle rest of the due payment at the same time. For this, you have to be with 3 P.P. size photographs, a copy of passport and copy of travel insurance.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,860m), then trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft)

After an early breakfast, our guide will come to receive you at the hotel and we drive to the airport to catch a flight to Lukla. The flight takes around 30 minutes and offers stunning views of Nepal’s mountainous landscape, giving you an aerial perspective of the amazing landscape that is typical Nepal.

In Lukla, you will meet your porter and the trekking begins. Phakding is our destination today. It is a walk of around four to five hours through rhododendron forests and via spectacular views of snow-capped peaks including Kusum Kangraru.
Overnight in Phakding

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft)

Today we follow the Dudh Kosi (river), ascending through Himalayan pine and Deodar cedar forests, to the celebrated village of Namche Bazaar. This is a historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan traders exchange salt, dried meat and textiles. Besides being a superb place to shop for traditional crafts, Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu, attracting Himalayan and lowland merchants. Sherpas are the main inhabitants here.

You will arrive in time to look around. Buddhism is the main religion here so there are some monasteries to explore.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar

Day 04: Acclimatization Day

Today is a kind of leisure day with a purpose. It is essential that you prepare your body for the low-oxygen environment that exists at higher altitudes. Altitude sickness can not only impact on your trekking comfort, it can stop you from trekking any further. We want you to succeed on this trek so we include these ‘acclimatization days’ into the itinerary to prepare you for high altitude.

You can visit Sagarmatha National Park today. The park shelters different species of animals and, if lucky enough, you will get a chance to see snow leopards, Himalayan black bears, Himalayan Thars (native mountain goat), musk deer and blue sheep among others. It is reported that more than 170 species of birds are found here including Himalayan pheasant known as Danphe. Danphe is the national bird of Nepal.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3,790m/12,434.39 ft)

After breakfast, we start ascending towards Khumjung. Initially, we follow Dudh Koshi (river), passing through some beautiful Sherpa villages. The highlight of today’s trek will be the rewarding views of Nupla and Kwangde Himal, the ice walls of Thamserku, followed by the unmatched beauty of Nuptse.

The trail continues until we reach Khumjung Valley, home of Sherpa peoples. You will taste Riki Kur here. It is a potato dish that is prepared by using yak cheese.
Overnight in Khumjung

Day 06: Trek from Khumjung to Tengboche (3,860m/12, 665 ft)

We leave Namche after breakfast and pass through Shanasa before arriving at Rashinga. We then descend following the Dudh Koshi (river) to Phukitenga.
From here we ascend into Tengboche via rhododendron, pine and fir forests. Tengboche is the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. This monastery is the largest in this region and enshrines a Yeti skull as well as a statue of Lord Buddha.

The climb up to Tengboche is long but you get rewarding views of the distinctive Mount Ama Dablam and on a clear day view of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks.
Overnight in Tengboche

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Monjo (2,835m/9301.18 ft)

Today we make our way back to Namche Bazaar, arriving for lunch. We continue on, crossing Bhote Koshi (river) to Jorsale village before arriving in Monjo where we stay for the night.
Overnight in Monjo

Day 08: Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2,860m/9383.20 ft)

After breakfast, we follow a descending trail via Dudh Koshi (river) towards Lukla. On the way, we will pass through the beautiful Lukla valley to arrive in Lukla in plenty of time to explore this small Buddhist community.
Overnight in a Lukla.

Day 09: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

After an early breakfast, we either fly to Kathmandu.  If you arrive Kathmandu earlier, you will have plenty of time to explore more of Kathmandu or simply search for gifts and souvenirs.

In the evening, you will enjoy farewell dinner and exchange your experience of the entire trip with us.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Our tour ends

Today we say farewell. If you are flying out today, we will take you to the airport. Or you may choose to explore more of Nepal. If you do choose to do some more exploring here, talk to us. We can help you.
